Strategy
The Supporting People programme in Barnet is guided by its five year Supporting People Strategy, which was published in June 2005. It sets out how the Supporting People programme will help tackle social exclusion, promote individuals’ independence and enhance community safety in the borough.
The strategy was based on a survey of the needs of vulnerable people in Barnet which took place during 2004. The annual plan shows the focus of the programme this year. The strategies of the partner agencies involved in Supporting People are also available in this section.
Meetings
Several groups are involved in delivering the Supporting People programme. They meet regularly to ensure that the programme is relevant and delivers good quality services for vulnerable people. The minutes of the meetings of these groups are available.
