Your Call - a new service (February 2008)

If you are under 65 and have a physical or sensory impairment and need support, but are not currently receiving any social care services, ‘Your Call’ may be able to help you.

Extra Care Housing for older people

Extra Care Housing (PDF: 58KB) offers self-contained accommodation for rent or for sale, with care and support available 24 hours a day from an on site team, enabling people to retain their independence whilst care is close to hand.

Sheltered Housing open days

Sheltered Housing open day (PDF: 340KB) aims to raise awareness of what our Sheltered Housing Service offers. This is an opportunity for anyone who works with older people and wants to know more about this type of accommodation. We have invited local community groups, and teams working in older people’s services to have an information stand on either or both of these days so that our current residents as well as visitors can ask questions and learn more about what services are on offer.

Barnet Housing Conference

The Barnet Housing Conference takes place Monday 8th October and offers speakers, information stalls and coach tours  as well as workshops, a number of which relate to housing and support.

Inspectors praise supporting people services

Services for some of the most vulnerable people in the borough have been praised by the Audit Commission, the Government's local authority watchdog.
