Confidentiality policy
As part of the service review we may need to look at records. This will mean looking at some personal information such as support plans.
It is important we do this so that we can ensure your records are being kept to the required standards by your service provider and also check that your service provider follows its policies and procedures.
Any information is kept strictly personal and confidential. No records are copied or taken away and no names are recorded in our reports unless you specifically ask us to do so.
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you are entitled to know what personal information we hold about you, what the information is used for, and with whom this information is shared.
Supporting People Team has produced an information sharing policy,
(PDF:45KB) which shows how the information we collect is used. If you have any queries about information sharing and confidentiality, please contact us.
