Supporting People Complaints Policy
Complaints can be made about any part of the Supporting People programme, including the overall programme, an individual service, and the policies and procedures operated by the council or its partners.
To make a complaint, please contact us.
The council will do its best to resolve your complaint quickly in accordance with our complaint standards.
All complaints are treated as confidential under our confidentiality policy. We will not disclose your complaint to any other person or organisation (for example a service provider) unless you give us permission to do so.
If you want to complain about a particular Supporting People service…
It is usually best to first make your complaint directly to the service provider.
All organisations that provide Supporting People services must have a complaints procedure. If you are a Supporting People service, your support worker will be able to give you a copy if you have not already received it.
Most problems can be corrected quickly by service providers, but please complain directly to the council:
- If you have already complained to your service provider but are dissatisfied with the response
- If do not feel confident to tell your service provider about your complaint
- If you feel you need support or advice about your complaint.
