Jewish Women's Aid offers a Kosher and shomer shabbat refuge for Jewish women fleeing domestic violence. Floating support is provided to help women leaving the refuge to find independent housing and support in the community.
The service is able to continue to provide support if you move outside Barnet and can advise and help you relocate if you choose. The Community Support Service (outreach) for women at risk of domestic violence who do not wish to move out of their present home can support women to assess their housing and financial needs, as well as providing advice and help to obtain other specialist services to help you stay safe at home.
A helpline is available Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 9.30pm. A counselling service is available by appointment for women who are or have experienced domestic violence. The service can also provide advice and help with finding other kinds of service that you may need. All services are strictly confidential.
